The Hohl Family has been in love with dogs all their lives.  As a child, Charlene could not have a dog due to severe allergies to all animals, birds, etc.  She had to give up her only puppy at age 5 due to finally figuring out why she was so sick.  Much later in life she found out that poodles are a hypoallergenic dog!  Our first standard poodle, Summer, was 3 when we adopted her.  She was the most intelligent and lovable dog you will could have met. Sadly, she has recently passed away and never had puppies.  Soon we decided to buy another poodle and in December of 2005, Lucy came into our lives.  These dogs live with us in our home and are really a very important part of our family and everyday lives.  We can’t imagine having them in another room much less outside!  Yes, they sleep in our bedroom.  Our puppies are born in a baby pool on the floor of our bedroom and stay with us until they get to the point where they are ready to roam.  At that point we clear out our dining room and set up a puppy “corral”.  It is so much fun to see them grow until the time we can find them their perfect new owners.  We now have a third standard poodle, as we kept one of Lucy’s daughter’s, Grace, from her first litter in March of 2008.  It is such a joy to be able to provide others with the love we have grown to appreciate so much from this breed.
